According to data released by the carbon steel members of SAISI, sales of primary carbon steel products to the domestic market amount to 397 207 tons during January 2006 compared with 244 344 tons during December 2005 and 315 123 tons during January 2005.
Sales of primary carbon steel products to the export market amount to 254 784 tons during January 2006 compared with 265 109 tons during December 2005 and 190 913 tons during January 2005.
