According to data released by the carbon steel members of SAISI, sales of primary carbon steel products to the domestic market amount to 473 345 tons during May 2006 compared with 385 998 tons during April 2006 and 372 419 tons during May 2005.
Sales of primary carbon steel products to the export market amount to 240 016 tons during May 2006 compared with 243 696 tons during April 2006 and 264 712 tons during May 2005.
