According to data released by the carbon steel members of SAISI, sales of primary carbon steel products to the domestic market amount to 421 159 tonnes during March 2006 compared with 416 760 tonnes during February 2006 and 340 733 tonnes during March 2005.
Sales of primary carbon steel products to the export market amount to 185 319 tonnes during March 2006 compared with 279 188 tonnes during February 2006 and 352 044 tonnes during March 2005.
