According to data released by the members of SAISI, crude steel production amounts to 708 733 tons during February 2006 compared with 866 097 tons during January 2006 and 752 536 tons during February 2005.
Of the 708 733 tons crude steel produced during February 2006, 305 048 tons were produced via the electric furnace route and 403 685 tons were produced via the oxygen furnace route.
