On 4 May 2007, following the acquisition of control of Highveld by Evraz Group S.A., Godfrey Gomwe resigned as Director and Chairman of the Corporation.
The Board has elected Leslie Boyd as Independent Non-executive Chairman of the Corporation.
Following the acquisition of control of Highveld by Evraz Group S.A.,Andre de Nysschen, the Chief Executive Officer of Highveld, and Evraz have agreed that he will retire as Chief Executive Officer of Highveld once a successor has been identified and there has been an orderly handover.
The Highveld Board extends its appreciation to Andre for his significant contribution to the Corporation since joining in 2003 and wishes him every success in the future.
